Fender American Deluxe Strat Ash Left Hand, maple (w/case) The Fender Deluxe Ash Stratocaster is an american made strat that has a slightly different body (made of ash instead of alder) than that of other strats. This is one of Fender's top of the line guitars. It features a smooth neck with hand rolled edges that make the neck more playable. The body is made out of ash instead of alder as most fender guitars. The neck is made of maple and comes with either a rosewood or maple fretboard. The neck has 22 medium jumbo frets and abolne dot inlays as well as a String-thru-body bridge with polished stainless steel saddles for more sustain and tone. There are 3 SCN (Samarian Cobalt Noiseless) pickups that actually sound better than the original strat pickups. These pickups are designed to reduce the hum that most single coil pickups produce. These pickups still produce the bell like sound that the strat is known for but also has hum cancellation features that reduce the 60-cycle hum. These pickups are also designed to reduce the magnetic pull that the magnetics in the coils create. This pull reduces the sustain of the string. The SCN pickups have almost a zero magnetic effect and thus provides more solid sustain. The other great thing about this guitar is it has the S-1 Pickup Switching System that allows for a wider variety of sounds to be created by the guitar. The guitar also has polished chrome and a locking tuners with the american deluxe tremolo. The knobs have even been aged to give the guitar a classic elegant look. The Hardshell case is included.
