Just connect one FXT-401 box near your "source" Firewire gear using regular Firewire cables, and connect the other box to your "destination" gear, which can be as much as 50 meters (165 feet) away. Audio / video suites can now access or send Firewire data to and from a computer or hard drive in another room; heck, even in another building!
