Martin DC1E Acoustic Electric Guitar with Case The AMERICAN MADE Martin DC-1E Acoustic Guitar, with its standard dreadnought body style uses many new design developments to take its place as the best value in Martin's line - including a superb Fishman Prefix electronics system. High quality woods produce the ultimate in tone so it should be no surprise that the Martin DC-1E features a solid spruce top, 2-pc solid mahogany back, 3-ply mahogany sides a solid mahogany neck and an East Indian rosewood fingerboard & bridge. Unique "A-Frame" bracing ties the top directly to the neck, for increased sustain and resonance. The DC-1E's extremely thin satin lacquer finish is highly resistant to wear and never dulls the tonality. Price includes hardshell case. Martin 1 Series The 1 Series was a pioneering breakthrough in the crafting of Martin guitars because it was the first to achieve the unique Martin sound, feel and look with tree-saving wood laminates. These instruments represent an extraordinary value as well as state-of-the-art acoustic guitar design and technology. While retaining traditional Martin size and appointments, all key structural components have been redesigned. These innovations include a new patented neck-to-body joint for added support, a stress-free neck, a special cantilevered "A-frame" top bracing pattern, beveled front and rear blocks for enhanced tone and sustain, and an angled bridge hole pattern with string ramps to improve strength, tone, and intonation. Standard features for the 1 Series generally include a solid wood top, solid back and laminate sides on mahogany models, laminate back and sides on rosewood models, and a satin finish.
