To give the guitar a serious attitude, without excessive flash, the Remington is bound in six-ply black reverse binding; this gives it a real edge without being overly flamboyant.The sides and back are made of striped mahogany, for exceptional balance and an even tone.The top is solid cedar, which produces the warmest low-mids, with sparkling harmonics, for definition and character.The scalloped top braces add to the power and responsiveness of the top.The striped mahogany sides and back are used to create a full, rich sound, with the clarity and balance that today's players demand.The only tribute to flash is the simple abalone rosette and the small abalone fret markers.
