Shure PGX14- Guitar System

Shure Guitar System Description :

SHURE PERFORMANCE GEAR PGX14 UHF DIVERSITY WIRELESS GUITAR/LAVALIER SYSTEM

The Shure PGX14 Guitar System package includes PGX4 Diversity Receiver, PGX1 Bodypack Transmitter, WA302 Instrument Cable, Black Carrying Case, AC Adapter, and 2 AA Batteries.

The Shure PGX14 Guitar System is probably the easiest wireless system to set up and use:

  • Connect PGX4 receiver to mains.
  • Connect PGX4 MIC OUT to mixer MIC input or PGX4 LINE OUT to LINE input of mixer or amplifier.
  • Add 2 AA batteries to PGX1 bodypack.
  • Turn on PGX4 and scan for a clear channel.
  • Push MUTE button on PGX1.
  • Point IR Port of PGX1 to PGX4 and press the PGX4's SYNC button for automatic transmitter setup.
  • The PGX4's Green LED comes on and you are READY to rock.

UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wireless systems, UHF is well worth the extra cost.

    Shure Guitar System Features :

SHURE PGX14 GUITAR SYSTEM PGX4 UHF DIVERSITY RECEIVER

Ease of set-up, with Automatic Frequency Selection and Automatic Transmitter Setup, the PGX4 is the quickest and easiest wireless system to set up. The Audio Reference Companding delivers level dependent companding, compressing the audio signal before transmission, and expanding it after reception to deliver greater than 100dB dynamic range. It sounds like a wired guitar, with less noise and greater dynamic range than other wireless systems.

A diversity receiver contains two seperate antennaes, each antennae has an independent receiver and the signals are demodulated seperately. The main unit scans these two outputs and seamlessly selects the output with the strongest signal for processing. The result is a wireless system with fewer drop outs, less interference and more reliable reception.

  • Auto Frequency Selection, locates a clear channel at the touch of a button.
  • Auto Transmitter Setup, automatically syncs the transmitter and receiver.
  • Shure's patented Audio Reference Compandiang delivers superior sound quality.
  • 90 Selectable frequencies across 18 MHz bandwidth.
