Shure's ULX Standard UHF systems represent a breakthrough in performance and price for both working musicians and professional sound installers. Multiple system configurations provide limitless options, each with a choice of legendary Shure microphone transmitters. Over 1400 selectable, pre-programmed frequencies are available, and Automatic Frequency Selection provides a straight shot to a clear channel.

The ULXS24/SM86 Handheld Mic System includes:

SM86 Condenser Vocal Microphone Cartridge

Built on the same standards as the legendary SM family, the SM86 is known for durability, quality performance, and reliability. The difference is that this new SM handheld microphone brings with it a remarkable new sound that only condenser technology can deliver.

Featuring a cardioid polar pattern and a wide frequency response of 50 Hz to 18kHz, the SM86 also delivers high gain-before-feedback and a tailored frequency response for a clear reproduction of vocals.

The SM86 is additionally equipped with an integral two-stage windscreen and pop filter, and has a built-in, three-point shock mount which virtually eliminates stand and handling noise. The microphone requires phantom power for operation and is housed in a rugged, silver-colored, painted enamel steel-mesh grille.
