Overview:

A Luthier's rule of thumb is that low, wide braces are best for bass frequencies, and tall, thin braces are best for treble frequencies. We've applied this thinking to our bridge and it works.

Our solid Maple bridge plate is asymmetrical, and placed diagonally to enhance the dispersion patterns of our bridge design. Our matched bridge and bridge plate configuration balances the bass and treble remarkably, and produces sustain unmatched by any other system.

There are no sharp corners on the front edge of the bridge to concentrate stress on the top. Less stress - Longer life

The soundhole is placed in a low vibration area. This way the hole does not hinder sound, and the area that would normally be just a vent in the top is now contributing to the tone and volume of the guitar.

• The Tacoma Guitars Papoose bracing is carefully designed to provide rich, wonderful tone at volumes equal to any stringed instrument, regardless of its size.
• Tacoma Guitars braces are triangular in shape because they have equal strength to a rounded brace with less mass. Lower mass allows the top to vibrate more freely, and increases the guitars response.
• The Bass side and Treble side primary support braces differ in length and angle to optimize the top's resonant frequency. This allows precise and very consistent balance from note to note.
