Smooth Analog Sound, Inputs Galore

Blend 16 features eight premium-grade mic preamps and three-band EQ on every channel for excellent clarity and punch. With two Auxiliary Sends, four subgroups with direct outputs, CD/Tape I/O, Channel and Main inserts, built-in Turntable Preamp and two Instrument Inputs, the Blend 16 gives you all the connectivity you need to sample beats, record vocals and instruments. These features provide the flexibility to route any audio signal virtually anywhere you need it quickly, easily, and with no added noise or distortion.

All Mod Cons

The Blend 16 features just keep piling up-specifically, an integrated 7-band graphic EQ and 20-bit digital effects. The super-smooth graphic EQ comes in handy when you want to tweak the overall sound of mix, or tame a room's freaky acoustics. With the push of a button, the graphic EQ can be switched into your stage monitors for controlling that nasty feedback that can happen when microphones and speakers are poorly placed. The 20-bit stereo effects processor comes with 256 presets including lush reverbs, deep delays, fat chorus, and freaky flange effects to put the finishing touch on any performance - live or in the studio.

Direct Computer Connectivity

With the Blend 16, you don't have to spend more money on an audio interface to get that perfect mix into your computer. We've gone ahead and built a great sounding, 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface right into the Blend 16 for single-cable connectivity to any Mac or PC computer. Send the stereo Main Mix to your computer to sample your vinyl, or mix down directly to disc. Bring your laptop to a gig and you can use the USB connection to record your live show directly to the computer. In the studio, use a pair of subgroups to keep the tracks you're recording isolated from the rest of the band. A dedicated volume control lets you keep recording levels in check, without affecting the volume of your PA or monitoring system.

The Blend 16 includes Mackie's Tracktion 2 Music Production Software. It's the easiest software out there to get you started using your computer to record. And once you've mastered the basics, there's plenty of room to grow with Tracktion's truly professional feature set. It even comes bundled with a great assortment of plug-in effects, including Mackie's Dynamics Suite to help you keep the mix tight, plus Mackie's Final Mix CD mastering plug-in for when you're ready to share your music with the world.
