Latin Percussion WB505 Plenera Ser w/Bag

The World Beat Plenera Drums look for inspiration to the plena, the popular Puerto Rican folkloric street music style that broadcast current events in an alternately humorous/satirical style, earning it the nickname the "sung newspaper." Because they are "played on the run", accompanied by guiro and vocals, Plenera drums must be light, portable, and easy to grasp.

The drums are constructed of a colorful, lightweight, and durable synthetic material, which will hold its shape and withstand the elements - important since the drums are often distributed to street musicians who perform in the manner of Christmas carollers. Fully tunable (wrench provided), they are available in three sizes, 8" Requinto, 10" Segundo, and 12" Seguidor, and will nestle into the handsome black case. In the tradition of other LP World Beat instruments, the new Plenera Drums are not limited to plena style but may be used whenever a frame drum sound is appropriate. The set of three represents outstanding sound, looks, and value.
